We are your Sherpas.

We are entrepreneurs who have led companies out of challenging situations such as slumps in sales, cost problems or liquidity crises. We have learned that every plan is only as good as its implementation. As doers who speak your language, we offer you our many years of expertise - practice-oriented & effective.

What does "Via Bia" mean? On their arduous journey over the high passes and deep gorges of the Grisons Alps, travelers used to be assisted by local mule drivers (travel companions, or Sherpas in modern German). The fastest but also most dangerous route led through the Via Mala gorge ("the bad path") near Thusis on the Heinzenberg. Following our ancestors, we will guide you along the Via Bia ("beautiful, good path", phonetically).

foundation & development

You want to set up a company or a new business area. The costs must not get out of control and it must work the first time - without delays. We have founded and built up several companies. We know the pitfalls.

growth - We open doors

Acquiring new customers and opening up new markets requires in-depth marketing and sales experience. Our track record shows that we have been able to generate high growth in various industries and countries and have successfully implemented expansions.

cost pressure & crisis

What starts with high costs and low sales ends in a lack of liquidity and stress for employees and suppliers. When the scope for maneuver becomes extremely tight and you only have one attempt left. We have decades of turnaround experience and find fair solutions for everyone involved.

successor

You can only let go when a suitable investor has been found from the perspective of the employees and customers and a fair purchase price has been negotiated. How do you find a buyer and is he the right one? We have been working in M&A for over 20 years. Together we find solutions.

In his free time, Daniel can be found on city trips with his grown-up daughters, in the mountains of Graubünden or with friends on golf courses in northern Italy. In his quiet hours, he is engrossed in classics or non-fiction books, preferably about "creative destruction". Dani is difficult to place: having grown up as the son of a mountain farmer in Präz am Heinzenberg, he is close to nature, down-to-earth and used to getting things done. At the same time, he is a fan of Berlin, where he lived for years after the fall of the Wall. He finds upheavals in nature, the economy, art or society extremely exciting because they break new ground and create space for innovation.

After the University of St. Gallen, he moved to the "Wild East", where German top managers taught him the craft of turnarounds during tough, very instructive years. Whether in mechanical and plant engineering, telecommunications, luxury goods, the environmental industry or the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Lausanne or Zurich, he has always sought out extraordinary challenges such as dynamic growth, upheavals - or both at the same time. As a managing director, CEO or board member, he was never just a numbers person. He believes that it is not the means of production or capital that make the difference, but the employees. He has accompanied or led a cultural change in around 20 companies. With over 30 M&A transactions, he brings a lot of experience in succession solutions.

His strength is certainly the combination of company analysis and implementation. He not only sees the solution, but also the path. In the team, he likes to delegate responsibility and seeks to exchange opinions with others. However, when it comes to implementation - and the usual headwind arises - he is consistent and expects perseverance.
